Watch Cover Bands Perform at Live Shows in New York – Dance the Night Away!

“If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of this revolution,” are words adapted from the quote by a famous lady fighting gender bias in the US. It seems like everyone now recording an album knows this quotation. If you listen to an entire album and don’t just download the best ones according to your taste, you will find a dance track or two among the approximately 9 to 11 tracks. Everybody has something political to say in their way these days. No genre seems to fit this quote better than hip-hop and reggae. But, then there are New York bands and these musicians have no boundaries – my favorite example is the fabulous Talking Heads. Dance or ponder over what they just did with sound – they are amazing!

A brief intro to NY rock sounds

Rock band live shows in New York can be many things because it’s dotted with musicians, poets, writers, designers, and more creative people than in any other city. Some big names here are The Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, The Ramones, Beastie Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, and dozens more. Each one of the artists mentioned did something awesome with the sound of their assigned genre. Watching these bands’ live shows in New York was a real treat of ear candy on acid. Unfortunately, they’ve all been replaced by new acts constantly trying new things to avoid being pigeonholed as clichéd rock bands playing live music shows in New Jersey to earn money!

Cover bands that rock!

Among rock sounds, you might find some reggae music or reggae acts that play rock music too. It is all about a positive concert experience for everyone. Watching a famous band do covers on stage might be a waste of time and talent for some. But, if you attend Nightshift rock band live shows in New York, their selection of covers and talent make it worth the time on a Friday/ Saturday night. Shout out your request or send a slip of paper and let them play your request. Then there’s also JoJo Romero – a reggae musician with a record label. He plays reggae music the technically correct way and has been swayed by gospel music. If you can’t catch Al Green performing live, this is a musician with a wide range of talents.
